New Thing #8: Dragon Fruit


You’d think I would have tried Dragon Fruit by now. It’s exotic, it’s very pretty to look at and I see it in the grocery store all the time. Of course I had no idea what they looked like on the inside, but with an outside that gorgeous I figured it must be good. And it is.

Surprisingly, it’s very mild. Much more akin to a kiwi mixed than the intense tropical flavour I’d expected. They apparently come in a red variety as well, which might have a richer taste to it. Which means I can seek out one of those for another day this year.

That being said, I really enjoyed it. And as you can see from the pictures after the video so did my daughter. Maybe even more than me.
